  • Provenance: Artist Raoul Dufy studied at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris in 1900. In his early career he was an impressionist, and for a brief time experimented with cubism. Today, Dufy is mostly known for his fauvist-style paintings. Bright, luxurious scenes of people enjoying entertainment or taking pleasure in life are key themes in Raoul Dufy's prints. His paintings of beaches, cargo boats, and regattas feature wide brush strokes and a rich color palette.Raoul Dufy prints are recognized the world over, and his work is kept in renowned galleries such as the Musee D'Orsay, the Hermitage, and The Museum of Modern Art. Raoul Dufy print values can vary depending on the medium used, as he was skilled with painting, textile and ceramic design, and woodcut prints.
